Yellow Tea is an extremely precious and rare form of Camellia Sinensis, that was previously only done for the Emperors Court due to its labor intensive requirements and attention to detail. The tea undergoes a similar production and processing method as high end chinese green tea— however then is put under cloths and steamed— re infusing the essence of the fresh, pan roasted leaf into the material. The process is essentially a micro fermentation— which results in a deep sweetness, freshness, and warmth that is unlike any other production method. Our teas are all hand picked, free of any agrochemicals and or pesticides, and processed by Tea Masters in their original and historically accurate cultivar locations.
