Ripe Puerh is the deep, petrichor yielding leaves that undergo fermentation in a controlled environment, to speed up the process. This results in a deeply calming and grounding brew in a matter of years of aging, where as the same tea would take 25-30 years to reach this sort of deep broth, and subtle spirit. Our ripe Puerh comes from ancient, wild tea trees, and is hand picked and processed. This is extremely rare— as most ripe Puerh currently on the market is made with low grade material, or material leftover from the processing of raw Puerh cakes. There is quite simply nothing like it on most any market in the West and onward, and we are blessed to be able to share it with our community at WUJI TEA CO.
