Dancong Oolong is cultivated from the Phoenix Mt. Range in Southern China. Our Dancong comes from a small family farm - who have been hand-picking, and hand-crafting their dancong oolong the same way for generations.

Intruducing a new Dancong Oolong varietal to this year's line-up - Ao Fu. This tea boasts a sugarcane fragrance, and is more full-bodied than previous Dancong Oolongs we have offered.  This tea has a delicious, creamy finish and an addictive sweetness. This is sure to be a new staple in your tea rotation!

 

Characteristic Tasting Notes: 

Sugarcane & floral, with a creamy, sweet finish

 

Brewing Instructions:

Gongfu (Eastern Style Brewing):

Water Temp: 206-212F

Amount: 4-5g tea, 140-200ml Pot

Steeping Time

1st Infusion: 3-4 seconds.

2nd Infusion: 4-6 seconds.

3rd Infusion: 4-6 seconds.

4th Infusion: 6-10 seconds.

5th Infusion: 10 seconds (add 10-15 additional seconds for any subsequent infusions after the 5th).

Western Style Brewing:

Use 4-5g for every 0.5 liters of water (~2 cups). Fill teapot or brewing device with water that's at or around boiling (212F) and steep for 2-3 minutes.
